Harbour Motel

“This place is a hidden gem. I'm from Ontario. We (myself, my boyfriend, and my mother) came to nova Scotia for a funeral. Took the last ferry to PEI on a whim. Once we got over there we tried to find a place to stay. Most places didn't answer. But honestly, I'm glad. Because when I called the Harbour motel he answered right away and was extremely accommodating. 5 star customer service in my opinion. The rooms were VERY clean and well kept. With a full kitchenette area and big apartment size fridge. We met the neighbor next door. Also extremely friendly. Would 1000% recommend. Young and his wife (the owners) were great. We will definitely stay again next time we are in the area. They were also very accommodating for my mom's small dog. I can't praise or thank them enough. On a scale of 1-5, I give them 20. Also the grounds were very well kept with picnic tables and a bonfire pit.”

“This place really is a delight to find. It may look like it's right out of the '60s, but it's humble furnishings are super clean. It's 20 minutes from the wood islands ferry. The kitchenettes are a great perk. The owner and his wife were very accommodating and let us do laundry.”

“Perfect location as we were researching ancestors who were from the area. Quiet location off the main roads. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt sad to leave. The owners were very cordial and I loved hearing their stories. I am definitely going to try to make some Korean dishes.”

“Very clean and cozy! Owners keep property immaculate. Rooms are very well maintained. A really nice surprise for us as we were tired and needed a place to sleep. I am quite fussy and I recommend this motel if you want a peaceful and clean room for the night or for a few nights.”

“fantastic stay. the owner was super fantastic. I stayer for 3 nights and did not want to leave. the room was spotless ,great size, lots of space. bathroom was a good size with a great shower. microwave toaster coffee maker and a full size fridge and large sink in kitchen area. lots of dishes to use. the owner takes pride in his rooms and has a fantastic personality. I would highly recommend this beautiful place and I hope I can return in the future”

“This is an amazing place for a nice quite rest and relaxation vacation. The rooms are great, come with a full kitchen, so you can prep your meals. Full washroom. It is not a commercial type place, only 7 rooms and family owned, so you need to book in advance, and yes it is always booked, You can get to any part of the island within an hour, and the ferry to N.S. is literally 15 minutes away. Great scenic drive. For the price you cannot go wrong either. There is a small grocery place less than 5 mins away, so you can pick up all the things you need including ingredients for smores, which my kids enjoyed. If you like star gazing, bring your telescope, you will also be particularly entertained. Definitely will re-visit this place in the future.”
